My eyes are happily wide open

Hello Lovelies,

I like these books very much. I first read Naked (TBA # 1) last October and initially gave it 3 stars. Well I read it again this week in preparation for the third book and I need to increase my stars because I adored it all over again! Here is my review on Goodreads of Naked and then the one for All In (TBA # 2). I found out recently that there will be a Blackstone Affair #4 released by the end of this year, so YAY! No fear because book 3 ends well and you will be happy.

Eyes Wide Open (The Blackstone Affair #3) by Raine Miller

16122643Blurb: The third part in The Blackstone Affair series: A love on the brink of being destroyed. The fight of a lifetime to keep it alive.

Big surprises are on the horizon for Ethan and Brynne as they struggle to adjust to what life has thrown at them. Demons from the past are threatening to destroy the passionate bond they’ve forged despite their vow that nothing will ever keep them apart. A truly devastating loss coupled with the promise of a new hope opens their eyes to what is most important, but is it possible for the lovers to move on from the painful histories that continue to haunt them? A stalker is still lurking in the shadows, plotting evil amidst the distraction of the 2012 Olympic games in London. Brynne and Ethan are on the cusp of losing everything as the stakes rise. Will they yield to circumstances beyond their control or will they give every ounce of fight they have left to save each other and win the ultimate prize of a life together?

Eyes Wide Open is a passion-wrought story that shows us what pure love can achieve when tested and what the heart can accomplish despite danger and adversity

Seriously I have no idea what book 4 is going to be about because that was the perfect ending! Even the extra scene at the end where they “meet” for the first time. This book was by far my favorite. I don’t want to spoil anything so I can’t say much but Ethan is perfect in this book, he is so sweet and protective but isn’t he always. Ethan with Zara (his niece) was absolutely adorable! They make great progress in their relationship as well as within themselves, he finally tells her what happened in the war and what his nightmares are about.
The book is written in dual POV which I loved, it allows you to know what each person is thinking and be involved in all matters without feeling disconnected like the omniscient narrator. Raine Miller does an amazing job transitioning in a way that doesn’t leave you confused. And she has a way with writing from the dirty mind of Ethan Blackstone!
The prologue is the creepiest thing ever and it creates a whole new game! So the villain is a half surprise, by that I mean that until halfway through this book you have no clue and then you may kind of start to think that it is a certain person.
This book is way funnier than the previous 2. The sharting baby in the fish store made me die laughing! I would take a picture of Ethan’s face too. This really was a great read and made me glad to have read this series! The quote where she says “the one who had the power to take me apart was also the only one with the power to put me back together again”… Loved it! Especially in context 😉
