I really love when book titles are already short and fun so that they make a great blog title. It means I don’t have to over think to come up with some witty phrase to impress y’all. 🙂
So I read the Surrender Your Love books by J.C. Reed when the second book came out so this post is going to be on book one and two. The third and final book will be released in September. BTW I love the covers and that is what made me want to read these books.

Up until the end this book was a solid 3 stars but the twist at the end made this jump up a star. At first you think Jett is going to be the alpha male type but he isn’t which caused me some confusion during the story. I wasn’t a fan of how quick he was jumping into the forever talk. Brooke isn’t all that great either, she had a crap childhood but other than not falling in love she seems normal. She just didn’t have anything about her that made me love her. The same can be said for the first 70% of the book. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. I probably could have stopped reading it and been fine but I am so glad I stuck with it. The twist at the end was amazing and it makes you need to read the sequel just to find out what happens next! So if you can stick with it the end is worth it. “Falling in love often happens at the wrong time, in the wrong place, with the wrong person.”

Great ending! No cliffhanger! It really was a fantastic way to finish this book. There was no resolution of the problem that Jett and Brooke are dealing with but at least they didn’t break up which is what I honestly thought was going to happen since that is what most authors do. The writing has improved a lot in the second work by J.C. Reed. There are still parts that are a little wordy and I get bored but that’s just me. I love that this romance has some mystery in it. I love the suspense and I am impressed by the author’s ability to keep me on the edge of my seat. It’s not easily done because most of the time I can guess what’s coming but in this book I never know enough to even start guessing. I love it! Jett was very sweet and protective while still showing off some very attractive qualities while Brooke surprised me by showing her love for Jett even though she has trouble admitting it. This series is definitely a recommended read!
